These fairleads are cast in gunmetal in two equal halves and supplied undrilled. For screw-fixing, the holes should be drilled unaligned and for through-bolting, or through riveting with copper nails; the holes should be aligned. After riveting with copper nails, careful polishing will render the fastenings almost invisible.
